A healthy person lives in balance between body, soul, and spirit. If this balance is disrupted by pain, blockages, or limitations, quality of life suffers. With holistic approaches from occupational therapy, speech therapy, and physical therapy, we help our patients cope with limitations, push them into the background, or, in the best case, overcome them entirely.
Our conviction: Everyone should be able to focus on the essential things in life again, such as actively participating in social life. That is why the team at the Fugmann Therapy Center works together across disciplines and does everything in its power to find sustainable solutions for greater independence, health, and joie de vivre.
The beginnings
In October 2005, Torsten Fugmann established his first practice in Düsseldorf-Eller on Weinheimer Straße. There, he created modern therapy rooms and child-friendly play areas that brought his idea of patient-centered and holistic treatment to life.
Development and growth
Since then, THZ Fugmann has treated more than 1,000 patients. Many of them have chronic conditions and have been coming to therapy regularly for years. In order to meet their different needs, Torsten Fugmann opened a second practice on Reisholzer Straße, with a special focus on treating adults.
Today: A strong team for many specialist areas
What began as an idea is now an interdisciplinary therapy center with a large, motivated team, modern facilities, and a clear philosophy: We put people first. Our goal is to strengthen the body and mind and provide our patients with long-term support-in all phases of life.
An animal colleague: therapy dog Urmel
New to the team is therapy dog Urmel. He supports our work with his sensitive and friendly nature. Whether with children or adults, Urmel helps people feel more comfortable, build trust, and makes therapy even more effective.
