Who benefits from occupational therapy?
Promoting independence & improving quality of life
Occupational therapy for greater independence
Often, many more people can benefit from occupational therapy than you might think. The definition provided by the German Association of Occupational Therapists impressively demonstrates how comprehensive occupational therapy can be:
Occupational therapy supports and accompanies people of all ages who are limited in their ability to act or are at risk of becoming limited. The aim is to empower them to carry out meaningful activities in the areas of self-care, productivity, and leisure in their personal environment.
Specific activities, environmental adaptation, and counseling serve to enable people to function in everyday life, participate in society, and improve their quality of life.
At THZ Fugmann, we consistently implement this approach. Our therapists develop individualized concepts that take into account the body, mind, and environment, thus offering genuine everyday assistance.
Who specifically benefits?
Children and adolescents
Occupational therapy supports children with developmental delays, perception disorders, or attention problems. Playful exercises promote concentration, motor skills, and self-confidence.
Adults
For adults, occupational therapy after a stroke, accident, or in cases of chronic illness is an important step toward regaining mobility and regaining independence in everyday life.
Additional offers
Our occupational therapy is supplemented by specialized additional services: hand therapy, ADL group therapy, brain training, and kinesiotape therapy.
